As we are a community-based team, giving back to our community is crucial! We do everything we can to give back to our community and to show them what we have managed to create with their support!
We're often going to events where we can show off our robot. We love it when members of the community stop by!
Soon we will be having:
There will be a spaghetti dinner in April! Our students will prepare food and serve you with a smile! The actual date will be posted soon!
A call to all Girl Guide and or Scout Leaders!
We have a program made for you!
Feel free to contact us to see if we can visit your unit for a demo and a meeting!
This program includes 4 stations, one for each letter of the acronyms in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math)! At the Math station, we will be playing some math games! Depending on the age of the children in your unit the game will change. At the Engineering station, we learn about ramps and gravity as we attempt a fun engineering challenge! With the technology station, we will be building a robot with the head of a toothbrush, a small motor, and a battery! each child in this activity will be able to keep there own mini brush-bot! The last station is Science, with this station we will be playing with oobleck! Not to worry, we will provide lab aprons and tablecloths to help prevent a huge mess.
After the 4 stations, we will have a quick demo! if you're licky our bot may even play catch with your kids! we will also hand out panelists about how FIRST as well as explain what FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is and how they can get involved!
One of the best things about this is it's completely run by our students! You can just sit back and relax as we show your unit the wonders of STEM!
There is a cost of $5 per child to cover the cost of materials.
